Background of the Study
The administrator of school department such as Dean and Program Head had difficulties in organizing schedules for the faculty members and assigning the designated room. A lot of School and Universities in the Philippines are still using the manual system to load up a faculty member’s schedule. Managing the teachers schedule has never been easy. Using manual system consumes more time and is not organized, nevertheless conflicts of the schedules arises. Quite often the manual methods employed will result in schedules which do not serve the best interest of either students or faculty. The problem of faculty scheduling involves many considerations. In small departments this problem can be solved manually by a scheduler based on his intuition and experience. In large departments developing a faculty/course schedule is a difficult task, and it may take several attempts to prepare an acceptable schedule. Moreover in the manual system once the schedule is prepared revision may be difficult, and creation of an alternate schedule is a laborious process. Hence computer assisted faculty scheduling may offer some worthwhile benefits.
Therefore, the proponents intend to develop software entitled “E Faculty Loading” that will help to assign the faculty in their designated rooms and schedules. The software is advanced, efficient, reliable and dependable in organizing the schedule of the faculty. The application software will be managed by the school administrator, the only one capable of editing and or altering the said program, while the faculty members can only view their designated rooms and schedules. The proposed software will solve the existing problem encountered in existing system.
