Statistical treatment of data is the formulas that you will use on your chapter 4. All of the formulas are listed here. These formulas will help you to test your study or software if it is feasible for implementation. This sample is entitled “E Faculty Loading” used by information technology student on their undergraduate thesis.

The Likert’s Scale was used to determine the equivalence adjective of each criterion. It is describe as follows:

M = mean of criteria
f = frequency of respondents in a given criteria
X1 X2…Xn = numerical rating for the given criteria

n = number of respondents / sample size

Where:

∑f = summation of the frequency of a particular numeric rating
f = frequency or number of times that a given number (x) was
chosen by the respondents as rating for a given criterion.
X1.X2 . Xn = represents any numerical
N = total number of criteria

Percentage. The percentage is used to determine the quantitative relation to the whole response. The process of gathering the percentage was dividing the frequency (sum of responses) by the total number of responses. To compute for the percentage (P)

P = (f/n)*100
Where:
P = percentage
f = frequency
n = total number of respondents

Likert scale. The likert scale is a pre-arranged system, one dimensional scale from which the interviewee will be choosing one option that reflects to their opinion. There are classically five options to be offered.
